What customers said in 1995:

(Note: Even though WebCom served thousands of customers in 1995, we didn't start actively collecting raves until mid-1996. Because of this our 1995 raves page is a bit short, but we still have a few of our favorites!)

I want to compliment your service. I initially had a few problems placing my pages on the network, and your service department was simply outstanding. The response time to my questions was by far the fastest I've seen ANYWHERE on the internet. Thanks for all your help, and I highly recommend your service to prospective customers.

...I found your company by chance ... sent some email to some
of your customers .... got excellent remarks about your service
so I signed up.

Your service has been excellent!!!! The best!

Now I have my own domain and server.

If I didn't have my own server I would without a doubt put all my customers on your site! If I had the money I would create a site like yours and use you guys as my role model.

So I don't see how you guys can better serve your customers. You're doing the best now.

HI,
Yesterday I e-mailed support with a problem I was having with my
daily hit report and not being able to access my account. I just
wanted to say I was very pleased to recieve an answer so quickly
and to have the problem resolved in a timely manner. It is good to
know some people still believe in good customer servive.

Thanks Again.

Just a note of appreciation, a rarity these days! Although I admit I was a bit peeved it took almost 2 days to get my account activated, I must say that I received excellent service when changing my userid, and then correcting the incorrect change. Each time I contacted customer service, my problem was addressed very quickly and courteously. I am very impressed with WebCom, especially considering the poor response I've received from other providers. A very good beginning!

Keep up the good work!!

WebCom is a GREAT bang for the buck!!

Easy HTTP security setup. A fast and responsive support team (They "noticed" I was having trouble and fixed the issue without requiring input from me... Awesome!!) New easy to use tools as time passes (The Glimpse Search Engine was recently added - easy to use and setup). A Easy to learn HTML Form scripting language.

I'm quickly approaching the limits of WebCom but have NO intention of EVER giving up my WebCom account --- I'm hooked!!

I love it. I think the stability, performance, and easy to use services more than make up for the lack of CGI or Shell programming. If you think your business may need CGI programming capabilities, look at WebCom's Forms programming capability first to see if it may meet your needs: http://webcom.com/~webcom/help/form_proc/

Here's a story that still amazes. On the very first day that I enrolled with WebCom, I discovered a problem with the CERN server they were using, in conjunction with my particular setup (TIA and Trumpet Winsock). The problem was that graphic images didn't finish downloading before my Web browser stopped. There were also random traffic messages interspersed in text. Very annoying. So, I immediately called WebCom. By day's end, they had put the NCSA server online and gave me the port number where I could point my browser. They also promised to work on the problem.

All this on the VERY FIRST DAY that I was a new subscriber. Heck, they didn't even have my check (let alone cashed it). I call that service!

And to this day (three months later) I still am amazed by their
conscientous work on improving the tools we can use to create our Web
publications (witness the recent introduction of the Glimpse search
engine). It would take a lot more than promises to pry me away from
WebCom now.

No caveats, except perhaps that you better be prepared for a lot of
accesses to your pages.
